A four-minute tour of IDReady inside the Shopify admin, from setting rules to releasing a verified order.
Getting started
How do I choose which orders are checked? Open Rules in the app and add a rule: every order, a product tag, a collection, an order total, or a shipping country. Add a minimum age if the product needs one.
How do I try it first? Open Verifications → Send a verification → Create a test verification. You get the same link a customer would, with your branding. Test checks are free and never counted.
How do I change how it looks to customers? Settings has your store name, logo, colour and message.
Common questions
A customer says they never got the email. Open the verification and press Resend email, or copy the customer link and send it yourself. Ask them to check spam.
An order is on hold and the customer can't verify. Open the verification and choose Approve to release it, or Withdraw to cancel the request and release the hold.
Can I see the customer's ID? Yes. Open a verification and you'll see the ID photo and selfie. Viewing is for your staff only and every view is logged. In Settings you can choose how long the photos are kept (up to 90 days, after which they are deleted for good), add a watermark, or turn viewing off.
What does "needs review" mean? The automated check could not decide, for example because the photo was blurry or the name on the ID differs from the order. Read the flags and approve or decline.
Does a customer have to verify every time? No. Verified customers are remembered for the number of days you set in Settings.
How do I stop a rule? Rules → turn it off or delete it.
How do I cancel? Uninstall the app from your Shopify admin. Charges stop and your data is erased within about 48 hours.
